This is another joke that came out many years ago when photocopies used to flow thick and fast round most offices. Pre- cellphone days when you could go out and not be disturbed until you got home again. There was a survey done a while ago that found that in 50% of cases at least one of the people involved in the call, was on the toilet at the time. Crap, I hate cell phones.

Homemade Paintball gun.

Paintball Gun Plus.

paintballfull.jpgmechanismpb.JPG

This project took nearly a week to design and make. The barrel used to be twice as long but it was then too powerful and actually fired marbles that went through hardboard. I have since made a clip in barrel and magazine inserts so I can use the 6mm Air soft pellets for cheap target practice. I fill the cylinder with my tire pump to 2 atmospheres (30lb/sq in). First push firing mechanism foreword and the trigger clicks in. The trigger can be set with the Allen screw on the top of the assembly. If the rotary magazine is full, just pull the trigger and the firing mechanism will fly back and momentary open the outlet valve. This will the send the paintball down the barrel at high speed. I have tested this against my commercial paintball gun and found very little difference at the 5-7 meter range. It is wanting on range but the cylinder could be pumped up to a higher pressure. I fitted a pressure release valve but this can always be changed. The muzzle velocity for paintball guns used to be 375ft/sec; I would like to hear if this is still the case. I can put the drawings of this and other projects on my page if required. If you make one let me know how it works

Homemade Miniature Pistols.

Posted in photos, pistols, public, Uncategorized, whitewolf on May 1, 2010 by whitewolf

One of the working miniature pinfire pistols that have been deactivated and framed.

emai-3mm-pinfire

As can be seen against a R5 coin which was also framed and now graces a wall in my daughters home.

This is a bigger one which has a 4.5mm bore and uses a cap instead of the pinfire method of firing.
This idea was used by the Confederate army in order to provide safer pistols and because pinfire cartridges were hard to get. Pinfire cartridges are natoriosly sensitive and dangerous to handle.

Smokey Spooks.

email-spookyThe photographs that were taken either side of this have nothing like this on them. There were no fires around or anyone smoking. Some of the other photo`s did however have balls of light in various places. I have tried to replicate this picture in the last week buy using the same equipment at the same time (20:00hrs). The weather was calm and cool as it has been for a week or more.

Bats in your Hair ? :-))

bat2bat1

Well thats just a myth. Sitting in my garden at night I noticed that whatever was swooping around my garden made a clicking sound. On pluging a mic into the laptop and feeding this through a sound editor I realised they were Bats. I compared these sounds and presume they are Pipestal Bats and are eating insects. I wodered why I had no mosquitoes biting me on the stoep.

I think they came out very light because I was using a flash. I had to take 30 photo`s to get these two. This night photo taking started with the unusual pics I got in my earlier blog. I don`t think it was Bat Breath.:=))

As recession bites even the ” Malls ” are getting smaller and moving out of Town. They obviously get lower rates here and do not nead parking bays or security guards. :-) )

The Night Sky.

Posted in night, photos, public, UFO, Uncategorized, whitewolf with tags , , on May 1, 2010 by whitewolf

These are some time delay stots of the night sky. The straight one is a shooting star the other has not yet been explained. These were taken in Cape Town many years ago on black and white film which was rated at 1500 ASA. I was taking pictures around the Southern Cross with exposures of a few minutes. You can see the effect of the Earths spin by the elongated star tracks.
shooting-star

This next one was sent to NICAP in the USA who do research into Airial Phenomena. With this comparison you can see it was traveling faster than the spin of the Earth. I sent a copy to the newspapers but they contacted CSIR and they said it could not be published. At that time there was a UFO reported landing in Beufort West and it was fired on by the SAP, so they were sensitive times.

Telephoto for cheap cameras!

Posted in digital cameras, DIY, humour, photos, public, Uncategorized, whitewolf with tags , , , , on January 2, 2010 by whitewolf
Make your own telephoto

If you have a pair of binoculars or a monocular you will have a better telephoto lense than using your 4x setting ,with a digital camera.

Standard Photo.

Next is taken with the same camera only on the 4x telephoto setting.

4x setting

I was using a 5Mp camera and noticed that when I took pictures with a 4x setting they came out very fuzzy when enlarged. This was the reason to try the method I used many years ago with a fixed lense 35 mm camera. Having a monocular and an LCD display on the camera helped quite a lot.

Hold the rubber eyepiece of the monocular against the camera lense housing, after first focusing it on the subject. Then set the camera to infinity or sienic veiw, and press the shutter. There are some examples below.

This was cropped from the original.

This was cropped from the original taken through monocular.

As can be seen, the majority of the frame is black with a round picture in the middle. The resulting picture is more like 20x the original and still has plenty of definition. Iam busy making a plug on extension for my camera as it has been very good for Whale watching.

Things for politicians?

This was this picture that started it all. It`s for people with runaway mouths and cuts the tongue every time they try to speak.

See Original with spiked mouthpiece.

I was asked to look into things to stop the problems of rape and sexual harassment among politicians. I have searched the net and found these. Now we nead to find a way to make them compulsery in parliament and anywhere they may go.chastitybelt_close1

We have a choice of two, you must decide who, has which one and why.

Hope this is some help, if not we could do it the traditional way, and use a rusty knife.
